"comfort food" for thought........................EAT UPby cweaver322Comment by cweaver322: so i just wanted to do something different...i knew everyones pictures would be of some delicious looking food, so i thought to do another kind of food (for thought) that also sends a message, would play with the creative mind a little...i see some people thought my idea was atleast partially cool ( i got one 9 in this challenge...:))...anyways....on to the next challenge... |

ready to print3by cweaver322Comment by EL-ROI: This is nice. There is a bit of a yellow cast like you said. I am not sure of the fix for that. It looks like you took this in the late afternoon sunshine close to the golden hour. One thing to try with the light it to stand so the sunlight is at the 3 oclock or 9 oclock position behind your subject, then be sure to expose for the subject and not the background by using a center point exposure metering. You will get a nice highlight on the edges of the model and the light will be amazing. Use a wider aperture... f5.6 or lower down to f2.8. Also try an uncluttered background like a tall shrub or the edge of a tree line and be sure to have her stand a good distance from the background outside. (5 to 10 feet minimum.) |

ready to print2by cweaver322Comment by EL-ROI: Nice attempt here at the self portrait with your gal! Good color and the shadows have some detail. Nice smiles and it's good you got the camera pointing up due to the position of the sun. By doing that you let the light get in your eyes so you didn't get those really dark shadows in the eyes. |
