Dry Heatby beekperComment by jonpink: superb location and great eye for a good shot. Only minus is that it appears flat, not much highlights or contrast going on. |

Dry Heatby beekperComment by JPR: I would have done some levels adjustements and played with some black and white options on this. It's a beautiful image with great lines and texture that I think could look better with a little bit of post-processing. Also, the bushes seem a bit blurry. Perhaps this was due to wind and a short shutter speed. Or perhaps it was exactly the effect you were looking for. I think I would prefer them to be more sharply focused, crisp to contrast with the softness of the sand. |

Dry Heatby beekperComment by admart01: Really like your sand stripes and the overall composition. The natural lighting didn't cooperate with you on this day as it's flat. An angled light would have given the strips more punch and accented the trees (a nice compositional element as is the sky) |

Dry Heatby beekperComment by LoudDog: Great shot, cool place. Might be better on a clear day with a clue sky, but this is still real good. |

Dry Heatby beekperComment by omnibus: Wish the trees were sharper. You captured the pattern in the dunes very well. |

Dry Heatby beekperComment by e301: Good work - a first thought was that this was too muted in its contrast, but I don't know now whether that's really the case. next though was that it was a desert shot - that those were trees, and it maintains that sense of scale even after the realisation that they're perhaps more properly termed shrubs. Great use of the lines in the dune and the lines in the sky to emphasise the composition. |

Dry Heatby beekperComment by jpochard: I see the texture, but the subject and composition just don't hold my interest. |

Dry Heatby beekperComment by sfalice: I've seen this aspect of the desert and know it can be tricky to capture. You've done it well with nicely developed textures of the sand. Good! 7 |
