flowerby dagaleaaComment by mycelium: Nice job getting the bright vivid colors without suffering any color banding! |

Concrete Forestby dagaleaaComment by Melethia: Lovely find! Didn't know this was yours. Not only is there the great root pattern here, but the moss/staining on the wall as well. Excellent textures and color. |

Concrete Forestby dagaleaaComment by Paul: OK, I'm going through the Free Study submissions, purposefully finding those images I think are shot with a less conventional eye - this is one of those images! Thanks for offering something that isn't just DPC friendly eye-candy (though of course there's nothing wrong with eye-candy). I'll be picking one of these images for the Mu (most underrated) award:
Positives: I really like the composition here - it feels well-balanced. Looks a little tone mapped but that works too. The roots make for an interesting element of the image.
Critical stuff: For me the image lacks depth (because the scene does), but coupled with the flat light and the edit - it is quite flat.
Overall: An interest choice of image and certainly worth offering up. |

Concrete Forestby dagaleaaComment by spiritualspatula: That's a pretty cool root structure. It really looks as though they are tentacles, reaching out and gripping the wall. I'm curious to see what the rest of the tree and wall look like, as the wall has interesting textures and colors (a picture of the wall on its own would also make a nice overlay). |

Concrete Forestby dagaleaaComment by bvy: I hope this is doing well for you. I love shots like this, but more often than not, they seem to be lost on the voters here. |

Concrete Forestby dagaleaaComment by littlegett: This is an interesting tree/root system. What a great find. Though the simple image gives it no justice in my opinion. I would have liked to see some depth created within the image to really make the roots pop out and really give a sense of the concrete forest you hint at with the title. |
