Selfridges @ Sunriseby crisComment by Philos: Strange I wanted to say that you could have cropped the fence out, but in a strange way it is helping this picture...
Sun is blown out. But I like the colors in the sky. |

Brassby crisComment by Donatien: A good attempt, but I feel the background is too close and the shadow much to sharp. Even though the light sources work together bringing out detail and nice colorurs it has this "placed on the table" feel to it. Perhaps also just a bit oversharpened? It's a nice object though and I'll give you a 6 for it. |

Brassby crisComment by hughletheren: The greatest of all the instruments - nice shot, avoiding those difficult reflections. I gave up trying after several attempts. . . . |

Selfridges @ Sunriseby crisComment by ccraft: I love the way the rail line (I thinkt hat's what this is) caught the reflection and added the whole drama to this scene. This photo's beauty is definitely attributed to you - the photographer - and not just a nice scene. It takes a sharp/trained eye to see something like this and shoot it as well as you have. it's beautiful. 10 |

Selfridges @ Sunriseby crisComment by just-married: I like how you've captured the gull in the sun, but the sun is just too bright for my taste. I also like the reflection of the sun on the rail at the bottom of the photo - this is the main point of interest in the image for me. The building on the left is a distraction IMO. 5, just-married |

Brassby crisComment by wkoffel: The lighting could be much more interesting here. Seems like just a snapshot of a trumpet, the shadows are distracting. Also, the photo seems pretty grainy for such controlled conditions. Maybe a concious choice? |

Brassby crisComment by skylen: Nice composition. Only thing I don't like is that it looks a little oversharpened and noisy. |

First Footing.jpgby crisComment by faidoi: Texture of the skin is very nice and detailed. Depth of field is good. The subject is projected forward with from the background and makes it easier for your eyes to focus in on the foot. I can't help but feel that a tiny bit more contrast would add more impact to this shot.
Leveling the background wall will also help the composition. Just can't seem to look at the image to long before trying to tip my head to align the background straight.
Possible addition of foot jewelry or the like may add additional interest to the shot. The line in the background that is included would possibly bring focus to that. Message edited by author 2004-09-06 20:17:17. |

The Inner Roseby crisComment by whagerbaumer: Nice colors, nice distribution of light. While the petal in the left foreground is lovely, I do not find the overall forms very appealing. The image is also a little on the dark side. A 5. |
