I don't mind the OoF area mentioned and think that it helps draw my eye to the focus area which I find spot on for exposure. It's an easy mix of darks and lights that are easy to blow out and you did well not to!

I see what you mean about the focus in the lower half, i did not notice it at first and it did spoil it, something for me to do homework on.

Nice and soft lighting, smooth black BG and lots of texture on the outer rims. I concur with pamb. The stamen going out of focus feels odd.
