Never seen this before either! The blue background seems a bit distracting to me too. I would agree with HarveyG's opinion to maybe turn it black and white or at least tone down the saturation

Okay, back to the image:
While I think the background is a good-looking one, does it
compete with the blue plate? Again, while the arrangement
of plate and fruit is a good one, it might be fun to experiment
a bit with these items and see if an even more appealing way to
display them comes out.

Good colors in the sky. Could they have been brought out just a bit more?
I like the foreground, but would like to see just a little more of it to
get the base of those trees and add good contrast.
I'd get rid of the structure to the lower left with
the smokestack. (I know, picky, picky.)
