Fade to Yellowby uctopukComment by uctopuk: For those who were curious, this is a shot of dried rose petals.
On a different note, I found this challenge very interesting. It certainly highlighted that many voters bring a strict interpretation of the challenge to the ballot box. It's a shame that artists (not that I am one, either) can't accept creativity. It calls to mind 19th century skeptics who said impressionism wasn't art and would never last. |

Fade to Yellowby uctopukComment by rscorp: A very interesting, abstract type of image but I'm not seeing yellow as being the dramatic color here, to me it's red that gets the attention. |

Fade to Yellowby uctopukComment by dipaulk: I love the colors and the abstract feel of this photograph. I'm sure it will end up being one of my favorites in the challenge. BOL |

Fade to Yellowby uctopukComment by KDO: Vibrant and vivid, but I would like a bit for of what I am looking at. This kinda reminds me of those "Guess what this is" photos from the Weekly Reader. If you are an International member, you probably have no clue what that means...sorry. Great detail in your focal point. |

Along the Mississippiby uctopukComment by katcocat: Might be my monitor but the darks seem so dark as to have lost all detail in this. I do like the 'star' effect of the sunbeam in the leaves though |

Along the Mississippiby uctopukComment by KDO: Interesting framing: very nice. I would like the contrast to be less and brightness up a bit so that I can make out the images on the shore, giving a wider variety of values. The framing and compostition are really quite nice. With a few adjustments this photo could be really stunning. |
