This is a little more interesting thatn most of the rail pictures since the opposing lines of the sleepers, which you expect to see are not very obvious. nonetheless, I think we need a bit more imagination.

Thoug this is not very original it is possible to make good images out of the subject as can be seen in other entries in this challenge. What I think you could have done is find better surrounding and/or more croping. Also I think its technically not very good, swallower DOF, better exposure and maybe more contrast would have been better.
