Look, Ma, no hands!by talzamComment by Venser: If it wasn't for your title, I would give this a higher vote. With that title, I would like to see the handlebars without hands.
I know, who's taking the photo? I simply felt you set up a story with the title and failed to deliver in its promise. |

Winter Viewby talzamComment by snaffles: Greetings from the Critique Club!
At long last, some ski goggles, was wondering when they would appear. Love the crazy colours and reflection of the chateau and mountains in them. But I'm also wishing there was just that little bit more, as has been suggested, a human face with breath visible would have been the icing on the proverbial cake. In terms of technicals, the comp is fine, a little burning on the snowy rooftops and sky would help as they are dangerously close to competing with the white of the goggles.
Overall nice work, keep shooting and entering!
Feel free to PM me

Necklace Boxby talzamComment by Denielle: I almost did something similar. My daughter has a "necklace tree" as she calls it. She has about 100 necklaces on on a lamp that has 5 different lights.
I think the focus and lighting is off in this shot...
but it's a nice collection |

City Shadowsby talzamComment by snaffles: Greetings from the Critique Club!
A very interesting and reflective with tons of potential. There is a lot going on here but it doesn't feel cluttered, it feels very crisp and clean. The silhouettes work well here as they are almost more revealing than seeing the faces of the people. The rectangles give a nice flow to the shot and continuity. The blurred cyclist is a little bit too centred, about another second later and she's be farther to the right, helping balance the human figures already on the left. However at least she has lots of room to bike into :-)
I wouldn't have minded seeing this from either an elevated or lowered POV. To me those rectangles are almost screaming to be shot from ground level (or as close as you can get). but that's just me. Still, don't be afraid to experiment. Louie ( lobrin) used some form of elevated walkway to advantage to shoot down at his subject in Memory Lane, which added greatly to the shot; the reverse, in this situation, could make a much more dynamic image. Consider reshooting if feasible, for fun and the experience.
Feel free to PM me,
