It's amazing how the most awkward creatures can be so graceful at times. The curve of the wing here suggests grace, and every creature, I suppose, has some graceful features. If you could possibly get closer and just show us the wing, the awkward head wouldn't distract us from it. I like your composition here, with the animal in the upper part of the frame and the sky behind.

things shot in the shadows don't convey grace well. We can't tell what s/he is standing on and can barely tell what he is. The tree should get cropped out alltogether.
