Brightness and contrast are good.
Color, saturation and hue are realsitic and not over done.
The exposure appears to be accuraste. However, the wet surface does create a little bit of a glare, or harsh reflection.
Depth of field is either a little bit shallow, or the focus is a little off, or the camera was not quite square to the subject. Some of the links are rendered nice and sharp, and others just a little out of focus. This causes my eye to keep switching back and forth between areas of the image, not allowing it to rest anywhere. Near the bottom right of the image, the lighting angle cause a shadow on the chain that makes a part of it appear to be cut off. A different lighting angle might help with the glare as well. The top and bottom part of the chain being cropped off, distracts a little as well.
I too like the colors of rust, especially when wet. This could become a very strong image with a darker background, and a little different lighting. As it is, the mind imagines all sorts of different things viewing this image, from ancient fossils, to characters from a forgotten language.
