Midnight Trainby HawkinsTComment by Lydia: I love this motion blur...
I may or may not be voting, so please do not equate my comment with any score. |

Skimby HawkinsTComment by HawkinsT: Thanks for all the constructive and positive comments! james_so pretty much hit the nail on the head and for that reason I don't mind the score at all. Hopefully next time I can find the time to shoot FOR a challenge, instead of the other way around =).
And chinajoe: If you wish to make a criticism, please do it in a constructive way (which I will happily take on board). As it stands I fail to see how my image; showing a stone in the air, fails to meet the criteria when your image; showing popcorn in the air, does. the only difference is the closer crop on yours which can be argued makes your image meet the challenge better, but both images ultimately represent a similar occurrence and so must both meet criteria or neither, no? My guess is however, that you spent more time copy/pasting the rules in to my image than actually looking at the image, and so failed to see the stone. |

Frozenby HawkinsTComment by HawkinsT: Cheers for all the comments, and thanks JuliBoc - you're right, the problem was the vignette. Unfortunately I assumed basic editing meant "can use any of the sliders in lightroom"... now I have carefully read through the rules and know better so hopefully this will be my last dq for a while =). Rather annoyingly in retrospect I prefer this image edited a little differently without any vignetting but ah well.
aKiwi: I agree, when taking the picture I was thinking exactly the same thing, although unfortunately I'm not sure I was meant to be there or taking pictures so I didn't have much of a choice in the matter :<. |

Skimby HawkinsTComment by Revecca: I would've prefered a lower angle and more emphasis on the actual rock. It'd meet the challenge better. |
