Left Aloneby hbakkoComment by BrennanOB: Great subject wonderful tones and very well lit. The only knock is the missed focus. I can imagine this with crisp fur and it could really sing, it looks a touch back focused. I love the way the light bounces around in the folds of the dog's face, but I miss the textures that should be there. |

Left Aloneby hbakkoComment by CNovack: Nice lighting and great focus. Just looking a the picture alone I see a really cute, little puppy resting in the warmth of a bed. However, I see no visual clues within the photo itself that would give an audience the sense of sadness (i.e. maybe if the background showed a deserted road or the basket was broken & dirty or it was raining such that it gave the feeling of being cold & wet it would have a sense of sadness to it). Personally, I think a great photo should 'show not tell' and by that I mean the title should be the cherry on top that compliments the photo. Here the whole idea of sadness rests 100% with the title - you are telling your audience not showing your audience. |

Left Aloneby hbakkoComment by Dphoto: If not for the title it would just be a cute picture. With the title I understand what you're going for but the photo doesn't say it. Cute puppy, almost looks stuffed. I also like how the light highlights the fur. Good luck. |

Left Aloneby hbakkoComment by Eagle40Fox2: OMG A SHAR PEI!!! They are some of the cutest puppies ever! I used to have a few when I was younger.
I love the soft feel it goes well with sadness. 8 for now might give a bump after I view the rest of the field. |
