Mostly the macroshot tends to be sharp focus but this one is really nice with its soft focus and lovely bg.

I like the lines and the sketchy feel of this image. It reminds me of a study in an artist's sketch book.

Ben has a thing for limbs, I think. This feels incomplete, but it's my unwillingness to engage. I'll have to come back to it...

Comment by posthumous:
washed out effect works pretty well. I disagree with the title. the best thing about the image is a sense of weight and firmness created by the line of the arm extending into the line of the chair.

Comment by Cory:
Nice bokeh here, but it seems that you missed the focus just a little, as the antenna are sharper than the eyes.

Like the perspective but wish I could see the eyes more clearly.

I still think this should have scored better... At least it was in the top 10.
If you don't mind some advice. The patch tool may have helped with your silhouette issues. It takes a little bit of work to create clean lines around the people, but is well worth it. I had to use it to clean up the guy in my pic. He had moved about 2/3 of the way through the exposure.

Hey, I just noticed... Congrats on your highest ranked picture!

Congrats on the good finish James. You should be proud of your shot as it captures more than just the fireworks!
