Roadby McAuslandComment by streetpigeon: A personal co-favorite. One of your nines. Beautifully meets the challenge. The foreshortening closes off the turning road and brings the mountains up close and daunting. The painterly effect works very well here because color takes precedence over detail, though not to say the details as they are aren't important and compelling. A strong, dramatic, lovely image.
I'm shocked that this photo has been so roundly unappreciated. Perhaps the processing has put many people off. Never mind, great stuff. |

Rack'em Upby McAuslandComment by Lydia: To me, this is shallow depth of field instead of soft focus since... on my monitor, the front row of balls is in sharp focus.
I like the photo... but I don't think it fits the challenge. (BTW, I didn't vote on this.) |
