Wow, this is, I believe, a first for me. Someone put this in the DPC calendar. I think that this shot would be MUCH more potent as a black and white. The green of the grass seems totally out of place with the feeling of the shot. The only potential problem with that is that I don't know if there is enough contrast in the texture of the grass to make it pop...

Nice study, bit too bright on the grass n the foreground. Takes away from the powerful image of the cross's.

Great use of repetition to drive home the huge losses suffered. An absence that must surely feel like a huge, gaping and silent hole. Curious about the choice to photograph this at night, though it certainly provides an interesting change from blue and green. The line of crosses leading into the darkness is intriguing, visually.
