Comment by BobsterLobster:
The silhouettes aren't striking and simple enough for this to have real impact. The foreground takes up quite a bit of the shot, and the shadow detail isn't interesting enough to keep my attention. Compositionally a bit bleh, but when you find the right tree this would be a great shot. Just leave more of the foreground out.

I can't quite place my finger on it, I don't know if it is the subject, the processing, or the way you have captured that light, maybe a combination of everything, but I really, really like this photo! I mean really :-)

Looks like a desaturated image with many tones ... The light is great -- 7

Puts me in the mind of the cover of RangeFinder magazine a month or so ago. Very nice effect, but maybe a bit too orange for my taste.

I like the sense of age that you've gone for in this one. It is grainy, certainly the color pic of the same scene is clearer and more visually pleasing, but this is more emotive. It reminds me of looking at old photos in a museum, the kind someone saved in an old box, faded, a little rough, but they draw you in somehow. Very creative.

THIS IS MY FAVORITE. i MIGHT KICK UP THE CONTRAST A BIT TO GET THE MOUNTAINS TO STAND OUT A LITTLE MORE. TRY TO ISOLATE THE SKY FROM THE REST OF THE IMAGE IF YOU DO PLAY WITH CONTRAST...YOU WOULD WANT TO KEEP THE TEXTURE OF CLOUDS AND BLUE SKY.

YOUR DOF IS VERY GOOD. YOU DO STILL HAVE SOME ITEMS (CLOSEST TO CAMERA) THAT DISTRACT THE EYE A LITTLE. i GUESS MAYBE A LITTLE MORE SKY FOR BALANCE. HOW WOULD THIS LOOK IF CROPPED TO APPEAR TO BE MORE A PANORAMIC? I DO STILL LIKE.
