Tuol Sleng - S21by cosneyComment by CNovack: Damian cowered in the corner. The room. The room had no doors yet it went on and on and..."Stop", he muttered as he looked away from the picture on the wall. He didn't want to look there any more. The bed was bare and offered no comfort. It was much the same with the picture of the room and the bed on the wall and that picture within the picture within the picture. It just went on and on.
There is just something downright spooky and eerie about the place you captured in this picture. It is well done with B&W tones, interesting angle and stark interior that gives off vibes of abandonment and trapped at the same time. I am positive I see a repetition of a window and a bed almost the same to the one in the room within the picture hanging on the wall. |

Tuol Sleng - S21by cosneyComment by Melethia: Interesting that the spartan bed in such a spartan place actually has a design to the headboard and footboard. |

Tuol Sleng - S21by cosneyComment by ubique: Beautiful picture of an appalling place. Sometimes, when it's become too late to change terrible events, a picture is all you can say. Words become clichés, too easily passed over or stepped around, while pictures burrow into our conscience and find a place there. Maybe that way they will stop it being too late another time. But even if they don't, they at least place a small marker in our history on behalf of the ones that can't do it for themselves. Thank you. 9. |
