I'm at odds here as to where your focus was. If you are focusing on the shadows (which it should be) the scenery in the background is distracting. To the point where you don't even look at the shadows.

If it's on the scenery in the background...it was captured nicely except the brance is in the way.

To mix it in focus being on the shadows and the scenery, taking the photo from a lower height may have achieved that intention.

Great capture of depth, nice amount of focus, good ligthing and color.

8 - Nice, like the simplicity. Maybe a slight tweaking of the colors (although not sure on that) and slightest nudge rotate, may have made this even better, in my opinion.
