A daughter's last goodbyeby mariodubeComment by glad2badad: I like the B&W conversion. The comp works very well. Some ghosting artifacts around the people from post work. Don't particularly care for the (wrongly) suggestive title... All JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge. |

A daughter's last goodbyeby mariodubeComment by Paul: I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: One of my favourites in the challenge - this is a wonderfully evocative image, full of story and beautifully executed - I particularly like the swaying / blown hair of the girl and her long shadow. The processing is bold too - the lateral highlights and the confidence you have in using the negative space at the bottom of the image is a great touch too.
Critical stuff: Nothing.
Overall: Great stuff. I wish the free studies were packed with interesting images like this. |
