You need to consider using a fill flash, and I would strongly suggest using the "dodge" tool, or similar lightening tool, to dodge up the eyes a bit, right now they look like big black holes, but that can be easily improved..
See this thread for my little flash trick, I'm using it more and more.. Seriously a PITA to work with, but the results are really good.
Even my 50D performs at a non-DPC level at anything over 400 ISO, and 400 is usually pushing it, so 640 on your T1i (same sensor as my 50D) is a bit too much.
Her expression is very good, she's a perfect little model, sure to pull in a ribbon or two for you!
And never, never use the on-body flash without a diffuser/bouncer like I described above, or even better, a real speedlight bounced off something light colored..
