Fall Dreamby GrayEllaComment by jomari: What a beautiful, romantic image. 10 and a fave (but this is such a wonderful challenge that you are sharing those accolades). |

SCurve = Seductive Curvesby GrayEllaComment by Nicht: Originally posted by lei_73: She is gorgeous! If I am allowed a remark, I would crop the bottom to the armpit and turn the frame ~30o counterclockwise to emphasize "S" from her lock. |
I agree. I marked this one quite a bit higher than it got. There's lots of S-Curve here and I think it's a good portrait. |

Searching for Guidanceby GrayEllaComment by aliqui: Well duh, now that you say they're feet, they certainly are feet! I guess my suggestion for next time would be a bit more DOF letting the lines of the feet show up just a little. Maybe around the f/3 ballpark. It looks like you were struggling for light though (ISO 1600, 1/60, and f/1.8). I'd probably also suggest a better lit room, heh. |

Baby Blue(s)by GrayEllaComment by GrayElla: Originally posted by mycelium: Originally posted by PugPop: I really don't think this reflects the sprite of the challenge, everyone has two eyes. As a portrait, try getting about 10 or 12 feet from the subject and go with a f/8 (or so) setting. That would get most of the facial features in focus. Very important; focus on the eyes. That will make or break your portrait. Also use unsharp mask to sharpen the result. |
Just wondering how this comment could fail to be considered helpful. |

Searching for Guidanceby GrayEllaComment by aliqui: Pretty decent photo, but whatever is in the background is really bothering me for some reason. I can't figure out what it is, and my eyes go straight to it every time. |
