It happens to us all :)by kwhj81979Comment by Melethia: Yep, that indeed is something we all have. Most of my piles that look like that are in a box in the basement - I'm tempted to give them away without looking inside! Meets the challenge but rather blah in the approach with the straight overhead, harsh light bit. Maybe a shot from down low, looking across, with lower light to create a sense of a twisted jungle, for instance? |

It happens to us all :)by kwhj81979Comment by Yo_Spiff: Not coming off too well with this entry, I'm afraid. I do like the idea, though. I can, however, offer some suggestions that could have helped it.
-Lighting appears to be uninteresting forward facing, possibly onboard flash. Lighting from the side somehow may have added dimension.
-Colors appear flat. Some levels and/or curves adjustment can stretch the dynamic range and help fix that aspect.
-Nothing in particular draws my eye. It is indeed a tangles mess of wires, but some eye leading composition is still possible to do.
Hope this helped. |

It happens to us all :)by kwhj81979Comment by Jaded_Housewife: *not voting as I'm in this challenge-just commenting since I've seen requests for comments in the challenge thread* I like the idea of this. I think it would look less snapshotish if it had a nicer bg then the cardboard. I also think they could have been arranged in an eye pleasing way and still represented the tangled mess scenario we all know too well.
