Hi from the C Club!!!

This looks very complicated! Can you play this game??? Would love to know the details of the game

First impressions, it looks like a bunch of candies on a board, then I look more closely and see that the whites are actually larger than the blacks. Or it is an optical illusion.

The focus is off everywhere to be honest, the left hand side is sharp, the back front 1/4 right is sharp. I am looking for somewhere for my eye to rest. Your DOF is everywhere too. If you look at your shot, you will see that your DOF seems to go in the sharpest areas.

There seems to be no rhythm or reason to your game pieces, which could be how the game is played, but for a photo needs to have something to point at and say "Ha" there it is.

Your image, even though it has several DOFs still seems to be a tad flat. Try different angles, like just one game piece and the rest behind them etc

I am not sure there is a lot you could have done in post processing, bar sharpen.

Please PM me if you have any questions or ideas you want to talk about

IMO your focus should have been in the front and center ... very sharp there then fading to the background

Greetings from the critique club!

I very much enjoy the idea you have here, it is an interesting take on a relatively famous objoect(liquid i guess:) I feel your use of sepia does work well with the time period you are representing, but it doesnt make the photo pop as it might otherwise. perhaps an old western-y background may have spiced the photo up, even if it only consisted of a few breyer horses or cowboy silhouette cutouts(this may be a bit of a corny way to go with, but its different, as is your photo).

another thing that may have boosted this image would have been to gain more detail in the flame. it seems rather bland, and considering the lack of intricate detail throughout this image, it may have skyrocketed its impact dramatically(imo, of course).

in conclusion;
nice sepia, but it isnt working to its full potential
background is a bit bland, give it more life
more detail in the flame would be awesome next time to add the intricate feel every photo needs

Very imaginative shot. Would have been nice to have the flame in colour (if the rules allow).
