It looks slanted and a little blury, but other than that I like the image. Good light.

I collect old cameras, and other old items, hence the collection, and this made me jump to this challenge.

I played around with a lot of different angles, and had some shots showing more and less than the final shot. The cookie was an after thought, after taking a few shots.

I was pleased with this, as I found I could see the detail in the old camera without totally burning out the white pages. Natural daylight was used.

The picture frame was a problem, I couldn't totally cut it out because of the book, but if I had taken it down, I think there would have been too much light area (plus it is a big picture!), but it was in keeping with the subject.

Thank you for your comments. My 3rd challange, and highest score yet!

What a great collection of old things! I think the coffee cup adds 'life' to it, making it more 'now' than then. I'm not really sure about the angle, though. A straight-on shot could be boring, and I'm not sure if you tried and dimissed it, but this angle crops out so much. The coffee cup needed to have more cropped (possibly half) or else be fully in the frame, the frame at the top seems awkward but if you had cropped lower with this angle it seems it would crop out some of the books too. I think having slightly more contrast, which is so important with black and white images, could have improved it some too. It's a good image, I just feel the composition isnt as strong as it could have been.

Very nice setup! The only (minor) way I see this photo could have been improved is the picture frame could've been eliminated from the shot (the edge is showing at the top, I find it distracting). A great photo though, and I like the touch added with the coffee and cookie.

is the soft focus on perhaps, if so adds a bit of dreamy quality to this. but the color is so bland.

looks like you need a tripod. Focus is very soft. Good idea for the challenge

the lighting is a little harsh, and it's a bit blurry. shooting glass can be hard like that - a polarizing filter would have done wonders. you can clean some up with photoshop, but the filter is the best way to go. also, I might have cropped the image more on the right - being able to see the bottom of the window takes some of the flow out of the pic. good effort.
