This is a great photo overall but I don't find it fitting texture very well. I realize there is texture in the foreground of the image but it doesn't appear to me as the subject of the shot.

Very unique look at texture - it does work in an advant guarde fashion. An image that demonstates the subject matter of the challenge with excellant DOF and color control. Both a technical and artistic success that more than adequately meets the challenge subject in particular with the grayscale shades. An out of the box entry worthy of consideration.

While I can see textures, the photo itself doesn't say "textures" if that makes sense. I'm not voting, but I'd expect your score to suffer from the apparent shoehorn.

I don't see how this relates to texture. I love the shot and lighting, though. Her skin really stands out nicely and the framing is perfect for the title. I just wish I could figure out how this is texture (other than the pavement) so that I could score it well. I'll give it a 5 for the dnmc, otherwise, it would have been an 7.
