| 05/07/2009 03:52:32 PM | Hello Darkness, My Old Friendby csickComment by Teafran: A little more light on the subject as this image is much too dark to have true dramatic or emotional impact. This is probably an artifact of the viewing proccess - the longer the image is viewed, the more details come out and the better it looks - which is odd, but true - the eye becomes adjusted to the image over time and becomes a diffeent image with different impact. There are some schools of psychology that use a similar technique to gain some insight into the personalities of prospective practitioners. That being said, this probably isn't what the author intended, but that's the way it comes across. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Yea, "creepy" was a little unexpected, but we put our work up here to be critiqued right, so I guess anything goes. I'm good with it, and I also kind of expected mixed reactions to it anyway.
I'm glad I could help, although unintentionally, I'm glad. Thank you for the comments.
BTW, from the looks of your portfolio, you seem to have gotten the hang of that D40 pretty well.
Keep shooting, and posting! |

Thanks for the nice words. This is the highest I've ranked so far out of 3 challenges, I didn't know what to expect as a response to this photo.
Ah...if only the others voters thought like you...oh well, on to the next challenge. |

Besides, the title has a bad taste for me... |
Thanks for the comment. I'm not quite sure what you mean "framing the entire notebook screen, and using the diagonals of the sides of the notebook too", please explain.
Also, how exactly does that title offend you? |
