Sky Roseby lisaeComment by CreativeFlyPhoto: hey there from the CC Club :)
this is a great flora shot ... i do like the composition and angle this is taken at ... the soft focus on the flower itself gives a warm feeling to the whole image ... good idea in filtering the sun .. (i never think of those things :) ... the DOF is nice here ... just enough to seperate the flower from the leaves and stem ... great job :) ... my only suggestion is maybe crop the top down a little ... but maybe you tried that and it didnt look nice ... just a suggestion :) |

Sky Roseby lisaeComment by Gracious: Lisa,
You scored well on this, but I'm surprised it didn't do even better. I love the back lighting and the subtle gradients of color. I can almost smell this delightful rose. You did a fine job!

Sky Roseby lisaeComment by p_johns: I love it! Doesn't really work with the theme though - collective? Love the composition though. |

Sky Roseby lisaeComment by HBunch: I like the flower against the background. really stands out well. Focus and clarity are really great. I like the angle and framing/cropping as well. the lighting is alright, I wish that there could have been just a bit more lighting on the front of the flower for some added detail, but still a nice shot. ~Heather~ |

Transcendental Numberby lisaeComment by buck4free: Great concept! One of my new faves...
My only critique is in the execution, regarding the visibility of the numbers/pi. If the overall exposure might have been brighter, especially in the sand, we coulda seen those numbers better. Or if you had tilted the shot up, or moved closer to the water, you could have included more sky and only 1/3 sand instead of 2/3. Perhaps shrinking the pi symbol down, leaving more surrounding numbers, would have framed it centered in the brightest part of the scene, where it would have demanded more attention.... otherwise awesome! |

Sky Roseby lisaeComment by kiwiness: Wow this looks very crisp! The sunlight on the green leaves creates an amazing effect. I would have prefered to have seen the rose in sunlight as well. |

Sky Roseby lisaeComment by jmsetzler: the backlighting in the green leaves does a nice job of highlighting the detail, but that may be overpowering the rose bloom itself... - setzler |
