Comment by hvellur:
really nice material for a good photo, maybe it would have been more capturing if shot the other way around (portrait in stead of landscape - hope you understand), also frame closer and play with the bridge, tree and the sun, shoot lower and up... just some ideas - sorry if not making myself clear ;-)

I usually don't like cat photos but this one is just fine. Good luck.

Comment by shoyles:
A closer verticle crop may have helped draw attention to the strong verticle of the tail while removing distracting background elements.

how fun! i think, though, as a challenge entry, the composition is what is holding the score down. as a centered subject, it is too deep in the image. also, there's not quite enough contrast between the subject and the white house behind it. this is a nice bw, and i hope it doesn't get lost in the shuffle of this huge challenge. good luck!

well captured, I would try cropping a little tighter from the left?

Comment by dwterry:
It looks like the ground in front of the cat is in focus but the cat itself might not be... I would suggest a less centered approach next time. Try putting the subject on the left 3rd. You could even take this image and chop off either the left side or the right side to see how it works.

Comment by naret:
This is interesting idea. The problem with this one is that the cat does not stand out from the background.
