Super comp, colors and silhouettes...I'd knock off some of the right side and compensate at the top for just a suggested improvement....maybe? like it very much as just seems that the BG behind the fence on the right next to last gull distracts me a bit.

I would like this photo even more if you were to tone the lighting down more. Usually roses look very good when you are able to see the vivid shadows in the petals. It helps to make the rose more 3D and seems more realistic.
The way you have the lighting it almost gives a dreamy mood to the subject. If this is your idea is perfect.

Good tonal range. The brown petal edges show that the flower isn't a new one, but it is still pretty. I don't know who the title refers to, but the symbolism of photo suggests an older woman, past her prime, who enjoys giving of herself to help others.
