Not too sinful looking to me:) Perhaps you could get the dog growling to protect his food.
Background could be improved through using a smaller DOF to blur it out. Or just locate a better spot to photo. Animals take great shots out in the grass, and the natural light would bring out his eyes.

Looks like suicide, which is a sin, not a heavenly virtue.

The composition/framing is not great, especially with the mouth touching the edge of the frame and the fingers creeping into the frame. The color of this image is blue-grey, which also doesn't portray someone confronting fear, since those colors are more commonly associated with sadness and depression.

The weighted composition is a good idea, I would have do it in a portrait frame instead of a landscape, with the empty space above her. I think that would work better with her looking up to God.

Watch for how shadows are cast, as here with the shadow from her arm across her shirt. Since this appears to be a posed shot, you should have ironed her shirt, and there even appears to be a stain on her shirt.
Overall, this could be improved most by improving your lighting.
