A little fauna, with a little flora thrown inby olddjComment: Nice close up here, I really like the colors of that wasp(is it a wasp of some sort?). I think the composition is great there, the one thing I think that could help it be better is if it was on a different color of flower. The colors start to blend together a little bit to me. |

In the Foggy Farm Fieldby JEFFJSBComment: For me there is too much sky and there is nothing in the sky. It seems as though you were trying to keep in with the rule of thirds here, I would suggest moving the subject to the top third instead of the bottom third, the field would help with this picture more than the sky does. In reality I think the shot should be tighter in so there is more focus on the bird. |

Chillin'by kawesttexComment: Great bokeh in this shot. I like the clarity and the colors of the frog against the tree. |

Eagle Eyesby ryandComment: This is a cool shot, I especially like how the eagle is looking through the rest of the picture, nice job leaving that space to the top and right. For this specific challenge I would rather see the bird doing something though, the them fauna to me is animal life, which, in my mind, has the animals doing something. Great shot though. |

Evolution and the Soul.by wingyisleedsComment: I'm happy to see that they eyes aren't black here, without catch light, especially in animals, the eyes can make them look dead. I also like how the monkey is looking off into the distance. I do wish that the greenery around was a darker green though. |

Hanging Outby juliejoldComment: I like how sharp this image is and the other ducks in the background give balance to the main duck in the front. I would like to see the duck doing something though, rather than just standing there. The colors and contrast are great, overall this is a good shot. |

first flightby jamesfraterComment: This is one of the best shots that jumped out at me when scanning through the thumbnails. I love the silhouette here and the fact that your subject is doing something, rather than just sitting there looking at the camera. I love the full wingspan and the dof, I'm not sure what else I can say about this shot, it should be a ribbon winner in my opinion. |

The Three Tenors & Guestby signal2noiseComment: This is a great shot, I love the composition. There is a great line formed by the heads that are raised up, that leads me straight to the "guest" in this performance. Another thing I like about this shot is that it isn't just some animal, but rather an animal doing something, and you capture here two things these guys do best, lounge around and sing. The only thing that is distracting to me in this picture is the flipper that is sticking up in the top right. |

Mantis praying in the gardenby zas_Comment: Nice shot of this praying mantis, I love the clarity in the eyes, and I love the bokeh(dof) here. This isn't the most interesting subject to me personally, and my top votes are going to shots of animals that seem to be doing something, but overall this is a great shot. |

Looking Backby TheresaAComment: Nice shot of this zebra. I like how it is standing. However, the smaller animal is distracting to me, I kind of get the feeling that the zebra is looking at me, not the animal, so the other animal doesn't add to the picture. Also the dark background on the top makes the zebra's neck kind of blend in, so it is really flat there, it doesn't give the appearance of 3d. |
