Nice idea, but needs some work IMO:

Focus is a bit off; perhaps just because this is a fairly severe crop? on the same note the noise in the BG is distracting to me (though sometimes I like a little of that, not sure why it bothers me here).

Cherries are a touch pink rather than red on my monitor.

Border doesn't support the image (again, IMO). I'd rather see it pick up a highlight color (the grey of the stem, perhaps? or the slight blue-black from the BG on the left?) rather than reflecting what is the dominant color already.

Wonderful. Just - wonderful. I'm drawn to wade, yet can tell by looking how cold that water would be.

My only gripe is that the horizon looks OOF in the distance perhaps this is an artifact of the size of the pic, though. I'd love to see it bigger.

Straight portraits of kids don't normally turn my crank, but this is exceptional. The color consistency (shirt/door), composition, the slight vignette, the PERFECT contrast in the concrete: all conspire to raise this well above the usual.
