Water Birdby John SniderComment: Fantastic. Lighting is excellent and the composition perfect. Only areas of improvement (which you are somewhat limited to adjust due to the basic rules) would be the light spot in the middle of the background and the almost blue halo around the top of the bird. As a whole this image is very clean and unique. High marks from me. |

Sea Mistby PeterCComment: Obviously meets the challenge no question about that. I like the effect of the fog but at the same time I wish the subject was a little more focused just because it is a little lost in the vastness of the entire image. I think for this challenge I understand why you chose to make the subject so small – but I think you could have cropped a bit of the sky out (while still maintaining the off center composition) and you would have still met the challenge while making the subject just that little bit bigger. |

Wall Flowerby sharkavComment: Colours and focus are good. I would suggest trying this shot without the stems and leaves, as I don’t think they add to the picture and because the colours of the walls and the flower are so close I actually find the green bits a little distracting. |

Little duckby TedvandenBerghComment: Nice composition, the water is wonderfully smooth and I like how you have captured the duck coming towards you – that doesn’t happen often. As a suggestion, a slightly lower viewpoint of the duck, while still capturing the weeds behind him would have made this photo stand out even more. |

color my worldby karmatComment: Photo meets the challenge and the idea is good. From a technical standpoint the lighting needs some work. I realize it's very hard to make a white background "white" especially under the basic rules, but when attempting this type of shot you really need to nail the lighting as it makes or breaks the photo. I obviously don’t know your setup but I have found when doing white shots a light source at the front, as well a. at the back of the background helps make the white brighter. You could also try it outside in daylight (noon) – the poor mans light studio. |

serenadeby heidaComment: Very nice, almost a “strong girl” glamour shot if there is such a thing. The only thing I can think to suggest improvement on is that her arms look a bit too soft and lack detail – makes them look airbrushed. That’s a minor thing to mention though because the image really is fantastic. |

Snowdropsby PollyBeanComment: Great colours, composition and I have to say for once I actually like a border! It would have been nice if the flowers in focus had a bit more detail to them in the white parts. I can’t tell if it was a focus issue or a colour adjustment/neat image step. Other than that I wouldn’t change a thing. |

Springtime at the Farmby grandmarginalComment: There is definite potential here. It does look like the colour is a little off; did you adjust your levels at all? There looks too be too much green and purple. |

Ponce Inlet Lighthouseby wmprkgComment: So simple yet it holds my interest at the same time. I think you have done a fantastic job with the composition.. I might have played with the contrast in PS a little – only because the image is a little flat and could possibly have had more pop |

America's Finest Sunriseby ScottKComment: Beautiful colours, nicely composed, the only thing I would really change is the border. Your photo is great on its own the border IMO adds nothing to it. |
