Kokuraby robaComment: This is a good shot with beautiful colors, but it feels a bit over processed. Good composition, with the rocks in the foreground and subject by the rule of thirds. |

A Wash with Colorby RistyzComment: It's a gorgeous scene and well exposed, but the extreme aspect ratio does not help. I think a regular aspect ratio with some sort of foreground included as well would have been great. |

Crew Cutby delinComment: Wow, what an alien look... Unfortunately lighting is kind of flat. |

Water Fountain at the Forest Preserveby tpbremerComment: I think you've got the most out of this subject, with a good composition and very good B&W. The background though (except for the sky) really doesn't help, as it's very uninteresting. |

Gulls in Flightby kleskiComment: I think some separation between the subject and the bird in the background would have helped. Bokeh does it somewhat, but is still makes the center a bit too busy. |

Feather in the Wind (from All My Love)by MaryOComment: Very good abstract study of color and motion. I am not usually one for abstracts or macros, but the movement in this one makes it so much better. I do guess that many other voters will disagree. |

Down By The Seasideby timfythetooComment: Excellent capture of energy and expression - most important aspects of an image. 8 from me, it just feels like the lighting is too harsh, the image too contrasty and maybe a bit over-sharpened as well. |

...kiss the tired ghosts of time and circumstance...by xianartComment: It's a good idea and take on the theme, unfortunately the lighting lets the image down a bit IMHO. It's rather flat on the left side where the interest of the viewer should be, and blown out and distracting on the right. Good choice of location otherwise, seeming to suggest (to me) a passing moment in a frozen time era. 8 from me. |
