FFby CorySmithComment: The pose and composition are very good. The lighting is interesting, splitting the picture in two distinct parts. I like the effect, somehow it doesn't look unnatural. |

Last days of winter.by anferhComment: Interesting choice to go high key and drop the background altogether... However, the tiny specs that are still visible make me wonder if the image could have been more interesting with more of the background in. Your subject is very expressive and well captured. |

Bridge of Sighsby gazdiComment: Excellent B&W conversion and processing, and use of powerful yet subtle tones. |

The Tiberby AranchaComment: Hmmm... the second excellent Tiber image in this challenge, both of them in B&W with very similar tones. I wonder if you guys are friends :) Very good composition with a little bit of stone foreground leading to the bridge, and of course a fantastic sky in the back. |

Grandeurby alanfreedComment: Excellent composition and use of wide angle lens. Unfortunately, both the sky and the water are rather uninteresting. How about a B&W conversion mostly from the red channel? You could also use the green channel to get some tonal separation between the water and the sky. |

Tevereby TychoComment: Aaahh, Rome.... Excellent processing and very nice tones. I like the composition too, with a good interesting foreground, and then the curve of the river leads the eye into the distance to the dome (San Pietro?) and the very interesting sky. Could be on the cover of any tourist guide. Good work. |

Robber Flyby GregoryBComment: The fact that it's sitting on a piece of barbed wire makes this not "another bug shot" and gives a lot of conceptual contrast (if such a term exists :) |

Crossroadsby GiorgioComment: Excellent - very well framed, bringing the attention to the focus point both by contrast, tones and leading lines. Very good B&W conversion too. I am afraid it might get voted down here as the subject is somewhat small for DPC size and fast voting. |

The Jumperby cpanaiotiComment: Excellent moment and very well captured. Unfortunately, there are a couple of distractions in the image. I guess the thing in the bottom left could have been cropped out. I can't really figure out what it is either. |
