T R A S Hby pawdrixComment: It's an excellent shot, one of my favs in the challenge so far. Strong composition, but I think that the subject is a bit small, especially given size restrictions at DPC. On a huge poster, this would look fantastic. Also, I think there is too much mid-range gray in the image. Deeper blacks would "anchor" it better. |

Welcome, Be My Guest! by edmengComment: Excellent capture - so full of expression! It's interesting that everything is cropped - both the man and the sign. It feels a bit unbalanced and creates some rather empty space in the bottom left though... However, this somehow contributes to the "tension" in the image so maybe that's what you went for in the first place. |

Another Day Passesby bs-photosComment: I do believe this is the very first time that I like the effect of a huge obvious border. It enhances the great contrast in the image, and the black and white also bring out the beautiful colors in the sunset. |

Puddle Reflectionby chunsumComment: The drain in the middle either makes tho photo, or ruins it... Excellent eye to see the similarity in texture between it and the buildings. I guess it works for me. Nice muted blue and yellow colors too. |

Rockhouse Marshby tfarrell23Comment: I really like the composition and the muted colors. Very moody image - in a good way. The only thing I have small doubts on is the rather strange purple tone in the top. I just also noticed the reflection of the clouds in the water - excellent detail. |

Tartan handbagby glenncComment: I wonder why you felt the need to make the handbag the focus of the image. The very narrow aspect ratio also focuses the attention on it. I feel that instead I would rather see a bit more of the environment. I think the capture is good enough to stand without the colored bag. |

Sunset Cliffsby firstkissComment: There's a certain "inner glow" and quality of light in the clouds that I love about this photo, as well as its beautiful tones. However, I think it is hurt somewhat by the very narrow aspect ratio. |

Ouchby JudiComment: Excellent photojournalism effort. This is truly a photo that I can see out in the real world on magazine covers or in papers (unlike most of the eye candy at DPC). However, I think you've done "eye candy landscape" processing on it. The colors are too saturated and the strong vignetting looks out of place. When you have a picture like this I would say you want to keep it realistic and dynamic, and your processing does neither of those. |

Purpleby freakin_hilariousComment: I like how most of the subject is out of focus, allowing the viewer's imagination to complete the picture. |

tree dropsby J-AndyComment: Seems to be a couple of verses in photographic form... very expressive. Excellent exposure catching great highlights in the drops and good toning as well. One of the very few cases I've seen where this kind of border works well too. Why so small though? Takes so much away from what's otherwise a great photo with a unique look. |
