Still Sexy at 600by MAKComment: Since you decided to use a wide angle, I wonder if it might have been better to take a couple of steps back and get more of the dramatic sky in. |

pushing itby libertyComment: You've captured the essence of the moment, the feeling of the event and the state of mind, which is so much harder than capturing some tiny spec of a pencil tip in great sharp detail. And on top of that, goes so well with the theme - the gray actually adds to the image. One of my favs in the challenge, and a 10 from me. |

Gathering Stormby hahn23Comment: Here's the person who gave you the 10 checking in :) I thought this was a great picture, in my opinion the best in the challenge. I loved the looming mountain in the back, the foreground-background ratio achieved through the long focal length, and the menacing feeling that goes well with the challenge theme. The mountain in the back is hiding, waiting to be discovered as one explores the image. However, I believe this was also what doomed the photo here - if one spends 0.3 seconds before voting, they don't see all there is to this image, which I suspect is the reason for all the 6's. Great pic. |

Victoria's Inner Harbourby KarenNfldComment: I saw your pic in bvy's comment thread, and you said it finished lower than expected. I voted a 6 and here's why: while the choice of subject and composition are good, and so is the exposure (good ratio of natural vs artificial light) it is the processing that made me deduct a point or two. The image looks slightly unnatural to me. I think it's a combination of over-saturated colors, too much contrast and too much Neat Image or similar. |

Hatcher Pass in Aprilby ShutterPugComment: Very strong composition, the road leading the eye to the hills, then to the sky and into the distance. Excellent B&W as well. I have some doubts about the over assuming border. |

The pediaticianby gastonComment: Very good environmental portrait, but I feel it's processed with a heavy hand (especially the vignetting and the Neat Image or similar) leaving it looking slightly un-natural. |

A Place to Restby RompyComment: Hmmm... I smell a Pawdrix here. Well, maybe I'm wrong, it's a big enough city for plenty of cameras :) Anyways, good capture focusing on an interesting subject, and the people in the distance are vital for completing the picture. Sepia duotone is well done too. |
