I can't decide what I think about this shot. Part of me wants to reject it as trivial, but part of me sees something a lot more sublime than my first glance says is there. I might be back to change my vote, but if it stays at a '6', you'll know why; I can't make up my mind. If nothing else, you're challenging me to really look at this photo, which is what all good photographers should do :-)

No, no, no! The stamen and pistil are centered; this isn't what the Rule is about. A very nice photo, and it would be a winning candidate in other topics, but not for this one. Now, if this had been cropped so that the pistil and its shadow had been on grid nodes, you'd have had a real chance to win.
