Natural Touchby colorcarnivalComment: Adding the flower didn't add to the composition but rather distracts from the subject... nice lighting on the cat's face. |

Sensory Overloadby dtallaksonComment: Distracting elements... spray bottle at bottom right, white plate and partial knife at left, half of vase with purple flower at right. Should just be grill and food... zoom in a tad. |

Ouch! Sharp!by banmornComment: Too busy. I'd like it better without the colored lines at right that obscure the hand. |

a touch to lateby cutoutComment: I don't know what to say... it's stark. Guess it's "in the eyes of the beholder". I don't get it but I'm more of a realist. LOL |

Sightby manavgComment: the strong white highlight to the right middle takes attention away from the composition... I'd crop it out even though that will cut into the eye a bit. Wild color, good sharpness and lighting except for that glare at right. |

Gentle Aromasby KristinaGComment: I'd flip this so the subject would be facing the other way so when my eyes come in from the left of the photo I wouldn't come into the back of her head. Good composition with subject not dead center (good rule of thirds). Clothing is very distracting... would have preferred a solid color dress with all the spots of color around the photo from the flowers. Lighting is a bit harsh on the arms and face making subject look "bigger" which the patterned dress also does. |

A mother's touchby DomDComment: Nice... improvements suggested... crop more of the woman out and right side and bottom which will also get rid of the distracting hot spot on her neck and the distracting black bra strap. All you need of her is about an inch past her ear and only a sliver of her left shoulder. Next time bounce a little light into the child's face which will also brighten up the eyes that are a little dead. The lighting from the top is a bit bright washing out the child's hair and giving the shadow on the face. Nice pose but needs more thought as to distracting elements and lighting. |

Touch of Motherby onarComment: What is the first thing you see when looking at this photo? The monogram "B" on the kids shirt... I would have taken his shirt off and also cropped in above the ladies elbow to get rid of all the distracting wrinkled clothing. Lighting is very flat on face and there is not enough light on hair resulting in no separation between subjects and background and loss of all detail of hair. Also would have had the child look up at camera as is the lady or had her look at the child for continuity. |

vis-à-visby RKTComment: Nice monotone, texture and composition. Would have preferred to have a little more depth of field so lips weren't so soft and a little more light on the forehead and lips. |

Hands of the Tideby n16ht5Comment: Nice "frozen" action. Good composition and monotone color. I'd crop a bit at the right to "move" the main part of the composition "off center" and but down on the dark area that pulls the eye away from the lighter water action. |
