Superb angle, unfortunately the subject is just blurred enough that I found it difficult to see clearly what I was looking at. Love the concept... perhaps need to desaturate the reds just a tad, they're a bit overblown. Nice work.

Most of the problems with this shot are technical... high noise and quite generous DoF, which I put down to limitations of the camera. The pink blotches on the bark are a bit distracting too, not sure if they are intentional or formed part of the original image but they look like processing artefacts. Happy looking critter though :)

Lovely image... you lose a point because it's hard to really say how shallow (or not) the DoF is. The background could be miles away and the DoF quite generous. Challenge theme aside, a delicious photo.. well done.

My problem with this shot is the depth of field isn't shallow enough; more than half the image is in reasonably sharp focus. Did you shoot at the maximum aperture and zoom range of your lens?
