Fabulous. Sepia is great, the mirror looks amazing and best of all is the furry coat. The area to the right is a bit of a scrubby void, but everything else is great - and it made me laugh!

Very nice idea, and a gorgeous photograph. I'm not sure that the blurred frame of the mirror is a desirable feature, however. Still, it's far more interesting than the majority of shots in this challenge, and there's a glossy feel - and the tightness and cleanness of the focus and tone stands out a mile. Good job!

The red is a nice touch. It turns a boring image into something more threatening - you pull in 2001 in your title, but there's something far more 1984 here. Good work!

I'm not sure quite how to rate this. It's in some ways one of the more interesting images in this challenge - the scratches and flecks on the lens are far more fascinating than numerous images of glossy, perfect, black cameras. Kudos for not flipping the image, as this adds to the interest. It's just...it's not a very friendly image, and it's almost like it doesn't fit anywhere on my internal rating scheme. I think that's a definite positive, on reflection. (chortle at weak joke)

This almost feels like it's playing with the old sexist saw of "women doing their make-up while driving", but it's not quite playful enough for that. If that was what you were going for, I suspect you've been only partially successful. Unsure about the decision to flip the image, as well.

The highlighted green is an interesting and incongrous feature - I like that a lot. The right hand image of the camera is just a bit of an eyesore to me, that obliterates the more interesting left hand. Nice wood colour, too.

I like the colours in the set dressing - the blue of the rope and the orangey-red of the flag. I can't quite work out whether there's a message, though.
