Pink Toastby hotpastaComment: Nice idea. Would've worked better if you'd managed to get some refraction happening through the glass capturing some detail of the starburst behind. |

City of fireby BogiComment: One of the better "firework landscape" shots in this challenge. The smoke haze caught in the street lights works well, as do the whisp of cloud and headlight trails.
Looking forward to seeing how long you exposed this for :-) |

On Fireby bbrightComment: The elements supporting the starburst really make this shot. The people silhouetted by the fire, the reflection. Nice. |

Parade of Lightsby drewsephComment: Well executed. But the different elements of the photo seem a bit incongruous, they don't quite come together somehow.
I suspect it would have been a better photo either without the firework (though not for this challenge, obviously) or without the car-light trails.
Loving the colour and texture of the sand, though. |

Celebrate!by KonadorComment: This is a great idea. It's a shame that the refraction through the glass didn't work better. |

Bloomingby 3DsArcherComment: Nice.
This is crying out for the "law of thirds" to be applied - re-cropping to place the towerover to the left. The spread of the fireworks would have supported this beautifully. And it could have used just a tiny bit of straightening.
I can't make up my mind whether the ANZ building in the bottom right is a distraction or not. It would be hard to crop it out without losing too many useful elements, though.
Where was this taken from? I can't think of any building from where you could have taken a shot this high. It looks like Nortcote Point in the background, so maybe somewhere around Albert Park? |

Happy New Year From Texas!by scarbrdComment: A neat idea, well executed.
The "ghosting" of the human subject as he positions himself behind each letter could have worked really well. It's a shame the ghosts are so faint behind most of them, and so solid behind the "T".
Did you think about trying to darken the grass, at all? |

Waiting to launchby mvilborgComment: An extra point for having something other than a firework as the main subject, but still staying on topic :-) |

Blue by FirstyComment: Nice composition, and restrained use of colour. Setting the black level high enough to eliminate any detail other than sources of light works well. And I like the way you've matched the frame with the colour of the star bursts - nice touch. |

Midnightby DjabordjaborComment: The exaggerated "lean in" works well here, as does the softening effect of the smoke haze. Like the motion blur of the characters in the foreground.
Mono was a good choice. All round fine pic! |
