I liked the photograph a lot. The line of the bridge does lead you into the photograph very strongly. The lighting seems a little unfortunate and my end tended to stop where the shadow began, which seemed to work against the idea behind the line, but I still enjoyed the scene.

The colours in those flowers make for an amazing photograph. It must have been difficult getting a good exposure as the lights in the ceiliing of the flower stall seem very bright. The camera did well. What would have made it for me is if there was someone in the front of the shot who was stationary - no movement at all while all of the others were shooting by, but I guess it's not that important. Beautifully colourful shot.

Wonderful portrait. The lighting looks excellent to my untrained eye, with highlights at just the right places. The watery eyes are highlighted making it look as though the girl is tearful. I like the highlight on the lips and hair too. Also the model looks good with a nice-shaped face and the freckles are unusual and add to the interest of the shot overall.

Lovely photograph.

I think that this is a very powerful photograph. The image it conveys is powerfully presented. The composition is great as a lot of the elements have been placed on the thirds. The railings behind the man add to the despair of the tramp as it makes him look like he is behind bars. I think it was a right choice to use black and white, colour would have been inappropriate. In short, I liked it.

I really like this photograph. It is certainly is a good example of how to frame the subject. The texture found on the columns adds something and the line of the stairs and sloping pavement is also interesting. The man is in shadow to a certain extent, but I think it adds to the atmosphere. One problem is I did not really undersand the title and wondered if the photograph really did exhibit despair. The man looks to be at complete peace.

Very nice photograph though.

I love this photograph. Obviously the rays of the sun have been caught beautifully and the lighting in the bottom third of the picture is very appealing. I am not sure if it is a little too tall. My eyes seem to be drawn to the bottom 2/3rds of the shot and the above that seems a little bland. However I really love it.

The girl's smile is absolutely fantastic. I love it. The lighting seems a little bit too harsh. The spot on the forehead looks a little ugly and the eyes and mouth are in shadow. However, I like the overall image.
