I struggled scoring this one. I get what you're trying to do, pushing the limits of the challenge and all, but between fighting with the challenge description (no sports, no venue, and people in the image), and my visceral reaction to the model's annoying expression, I just can't bring myself to like this shot.

Within the possibilities of the lighting, this was technically well executed. Tough to work with such flat lighting, though. I'm sure it would have turned out better with a bit more sunlight to make the colors pop and give some more contrast. Unfortunately, nothing in this shot jumps out at me and grabs my attention. When I look at it, my mind goes "Eh, another stadium".

I can't tell what the subject is, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and guess it is a golf course. Not a bad shot, but the sky dominates so much it detracts from the subject. Compared to the sky, though, the foreground feels muddy, which further reduces the impact of what (I think) the subject is.

I like the colors and the softness of the trees in this shot. The sky is a bit blown out, although I don't know how to have corrected it w/o violating Basic rules. If it were me, I would have cropped out the partial tree on the left, though. Nice picture!

Well shot picture. I have no idea what connections you'd need to get access to a major stadium when no one's around :-) Lighting-wise, I find the shadow across the field distracting, although I understand that was probably not in your control.

I like the colors in this, particularly the trees, although besides the colors, there isn't a lot to hold my attention, although this is a really hard challenge to get a compelling image. The fence in the lower right is distracting. I would have cropped differently and gotten rid of most of the green field.

Nice image! Good color/lighting on the sky, nice silhouette of the goal posts. It's unfortunate that you couldn't remove the light post (cloning it out isn't OK for Basic, but I'm sure a chainsaw is allowed at DPC :-)

It is tough to get excited over this. There is quite a bit of noise, particularly in the sky. The strong color cast detracts a bit. There's also nothing in this besides the title that indicates "game" or "sport".

Technically well done, although a bit oversaturated for my tastes. I like the idea and the juxtoposition between the duckies and the big balls, but there's nothing that really grabs my attention. Cute, but not very memorable.
