I'm not sure if the muted colors were an intensional choice, but I find them a little lackluster. It gives the tree a strange quality. It looks like maybe you used a flash and that gives the tree a somewhat plastic look. If you had maybe turned around and gotten to the other side of the tree and shot against a more simple background it might also strengthen it. I like the concept though.

Moody and interestingly composed. I like how the sun is behind the trunk but doesn't blow out the sky. Wonderful sillhouette!

This is really beautiful. I have always envisioned taking a photo like this one, just never have been able to pull it off. I fear that you'll get hit for the lighting choices you made here, but I still think it's a beautiful shot!

I'm curious about why you converted to B&W. My memories of this guy are of vibrant crazy colors. Maybe that's part of why it didn't score as well as you had hoped.

Funny that this scored so low. I like the topsy turvy feel of the buildings. Maybe they didn't like the starkness of it. The colors are pretty cool as well!

Wow. Gotta say I really like this one and think it was really underrated. It looks like a photo with a drawing on it. It is really excellent. I'm surprised you didn't score better. Ah well, there's no accounting for taste. Excellent shot though!

I think I would have liked it more if you have covered the flash so that the camera didn't see it. Try it again with a black card or fabric or something covering it. I think that will give it an even eerier feel. Especially if you also wear black pants! But it's a cool idea none the less!

I'm not in love with the grain, but I do love that some of it is a bit overexposed. I'd like to see you push that even farther. But then, I'm someone who likes pretty high contrasty things. Great idea here!
