i think it woulfd have worked better with your subject off to the left or right and the rail running diagonally into the picture - would have created some depth and more perspective

Escher Handsby hotpastaComment: nice try but this does not really capture the idea behind the escher hands, where the hands actually create one another and so creates the visual dichotomy
i think if you shot this with a lot less light and used black velvet to make the hands disappear at the appropriate lengths, it would work much better |
