This picture would probably not have worked without the vehicles but somehow they don't seem right either. Also, the white post appearing behind the cross detracts from the cross itself. I wonder if you could have moved to the right slighty to hide it behind the cross (or perhaps you did already to hide the top of the post?). Also the item in the lower right-hand corner also drags the eyes away.

You've really put the background out of focus well, to draw the eyes to the plant. I think I would have liked more of the buds to have been in focus and ideally for you to have found a more colourful specimen.

I can see that you've interpreted the theme but there doesn't seem to be any story behind this - other that the title suggesting something. Perhaps you could have had a single broken pot amongst a set of live pots to set off the contrast more.
