You are Now Free to Roam About the Country by DrAchooComment: Amazing shot - where is PDX? Looks like it could have been taken down the road from where I live - at Skyharbor PHX. I love how you captured color in this shot too. I didn't get to vote in this one but it deserves the high score it received. |

Low key hobbyby MelethiaComment: Deb, I definately think this is a low key shot. I think some of the voters think low key is black and white - which the majority of the top scorers submitted. Not taking away from any of those excellent shots, I believe you equally captured a creat low key shot. I see your rule of thirds in this too. I didn't vote in this challenge, but would have scored this very high - 9. Thanks for sharing. |

A view from St Sauveur in Canadaby albc28Comment: Anthony, I didn't vote in this challenge, but appreciate what you were going for here. You certainly captured trees in this shot and for that it met the challenge in my opinion. I am guessing it didn't score higher because the picture is so broad in content. The subject doesn't speak 'trees' - while they are everywhere in your shot, there are other subjects too. I will say this though, no matter how broad the shot, I don't believe this is a sub 5 shot. Thanks for sharing. |

Companionsby pamelasueComment: Pam, this shot is definately not sub 5 material in my opinion. I didn't vote in this challenge, but I am guessing it lost points in the framing of the shot. Your horizon if tilted down from right to left - although that may very well have been your intent. Also, the gravestone in front is cut off a little at the bottom. I can't see how you could have cropped out the other trees without it cutting into your subject itself. The tree certainly creates a silhouetted effect you were going for. Thanks for sharing. |

Junipalmby GeneralEComment: Paul, i think this picture should have scored higher than 5.1. You certainly met the challenge. Maybe it is how you framed it so centered. I think the blue sky behind the tree (palm) is stunning and even the bird in the upper right adds to the life of the picture. |
