It Never Leaves My Side by Joey LawrenceComment: That looks like Joey Lawrence. I've been trying to look at this image without thinking of any of your other work to bias me. I've decided that I'd still love it if I knew nothing of you. It would still be one of my favorites in the group and here's why... I'm liking the photos that are a composition of more than just the shadow and you have captured that here. The placing of the chair and the stack of paint cans and the background clutter - especially the red items up on top - it doesn't look deliberate - it all seems very naturally placed - but I know you probably did place everything just so on purpose - to lead the eye around the image in just the right way. Or at the very least, recognized that all that stuff looked good the way it already was - I don't know - maybe you were just lazy and didn't want to move anything out of the way - whatever the reason - it worked well. Coloring, focus, lighting, it has it all - especially, as usual, the superb processing. Your pose is great as is the title and of course, it meets the challenge. I'm not sure if it's the most creative in the lot - but I do know it's the best quality as far as layout and processing goes. You certainly don't need any more ribbons - but this image is very worthy of one. |

Hey, who let the shadow out of the bag???by taterbugComment: clever idea - your shadow looks like a genie - maybe would be a little better with using just a big colorful bottle and calling it "Your Wish Is My Command" or something like that - wish I had thought of that - but your image is what made me think of that - good job and certainly meets the challenge :) |

Past the Missionby floydroweComment: kind of on the small side - I'm sure your getting lots of comments already telling you that and how you should always try to go towards the maximum with sizing - I like the coloring though and the idea seemed nice and I'm glad you included the actual flowers in part of the image - nice touch :) |
